Jonah Jon's Blessing Day

Jonah's Blessing Day was a very special day. We had so many wonderful family members and friends there. It was a beautiful day in the Mantua Valley!

Pumpkin Pictures! In the wrong Order!

Fun Pumpkin Times! Visiting a pumpkin patch in paradise with Grandma and Grandpa Larkin, Uncle Eli and Aunt Christy, and the family! They had a cute little playground and a dog that the kids loved. We had so much fun carving our beautiful pumpkins! Yay for Halloween!

Our Daisy Sophia is '7'

So.....Daisy turned 7!

Daisy was planning her birthday for months. Everywhere we went and everything we did she would say "Can we go here for my birthday?" There was even a time when she wanted to invite friends to go to Cabellas. What? She is a hoot!

We ended up having cake and ice cream the night before since her actual birthday was jam packed with excitement! Mom was trying very hard to pull it all together since her new baby was not quite 2 weeks old. Daisy ended up inviting a few friends and going to the 'Tree House' in Ogden and eating at her favorite 'Panda Express'. Then we drove back down to Ogden to meet Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, and Uncles to eat at El Matador.

I hope that it was everything that she wanted it to be. She is so much fun and such a blessing to us! We love Daisy!

What she wanted:

-To eat dinner at El Matador and get her very OWN Pina Colada......(She couldn't finish it and ended up sharing.)
-Her own garbage can for her room.
-Her own alarm clock.
-A DS game.

I must say....I was a little surprised when she told me what she wanted. Man, I love her. Never a dull moment. Do many other 7 year olds ask for garbage cans for their rooms for their birthday? Leave it to Daisy!

Billi Lights

Our little Jonah had to spend some time under the lights at home. It was so sad. I really hated it. He is such a snuggle bug and hates to have is clothes off, so this was pretty miserable for him. We had the lights in our room and one evening I had Daisy sit by him and hold his hand while I ran out to the kitchen to grab something. When I ran back in, she had her sunglasses on and was singing 'I Feel My Saviors Love' to him. It was such a sweet moment.

Baby Jonah

Love my arm in the picture? All well. I just love his sweet little face. We welcomed baby Jonah Jon Hadfield on Monday July 27, 2009 at 6:08 P.M. He was 8 Pounds 15 Ounces & 20 Inches long. We have loved every single second of having him in our home! Jon and I have realized how old we are. WOW! The nights are killing us. I so love the quiet moments at night when he just looks up at me. It makes it all bearable. I wish that I could somehow memorize every single moment! We are very blessed!

The Things That I Find On My Camera!

So, I am looking through my camera the other day......75 pictures of....WHAT? Absolutley nothing of importance. My 11 year pulling faces and taking pictures of herself , 15 of the pictures were of her feet and legs pointing and twisting in every single direction she could think of. I thought I would share a taste of the fabulous photos! I know that no one wants to miss out on these. The fashion shoot with the friends to come shortly! It must be summer!

Jack's 3rd Birthday

Funniest thing ever was watching him squint and shake when he would shoot his new cap gun. He loved every minute of being the birthday boy. He is so much fun. He was so excited to get a dragon! Happy 3rd brithday Jackster.

Good Bye to Ellie Rose's Trophies

I love El and all of her dance trophies, but......I really couldn't stand them all around the house anymore. We decided to take some beloved photos of her grand awards and then part with them. Jack wanted in on the action too :)

Do Little Boys Survive Big Sisters?

A pink bra on my three year old boy. I guess that 11 & 6 year old sisters think this is pretty funny. He did too for about one minute. He quickly changed his mind and wanted nothing else to do with it. Always an adventure!

P.S. Nobody gets to cuss me for the photos being sideways :) I will learn someday! I promise!

My Easter Kids! I just realized that I hadn't posted any of Easter Sunday for my journaling. I had other cuter ones to post, but Chels still has to show me how to flip my pics. I am having technical difficulties. I love these twerps. Each day is an adventure. Looking at these pictures reminds that Jon takes off again soon. Boo!

Mantua Town Easter Egg Hunt '09

I know.......same pics as facebook, but this is as close as I get to a journal lately. We love the town egg hunt. It was a little warmer this year than we expected. The news said that it would snow, and it has in the past, but it didn't. Yay! The kids love playing at the park with their pals. Lots of fun. We love having things to look forward to. 1- Addy, Ellie, and Jack after the hunt. 2- Adaline Hope & Ellie Rose. 3- Daisy Sophia & Mia Rose. 4- Jack Larkin Hadfield & his yellow egg. Jack was a little more interested in the fire engine they used to get the egg hunt started than the hunt itself. He caught on after a bit.

Jack's Artwork!

"Look at my picture MOM!" Oh, motherhood! Artwork on kitchen counters. He is still so proud of it. Even though it is cleaned up. He still shows me daily where he made a pretty picture on the counter. Gotta love Jack!

Daisy's Ear Surgery!

Daisy and her cute ears. When she was born, her ears didn't have any of the folds in them. She was so excited to get them fixed, but it was a little more traumatic then we expected. It was intensified by Jon heading out of town to Augusta and the basement flooding from ground water. I didn't think we would survive, but we did. Hooray! One thing about it that I did enjoy was spending some super one on one time with her. She is such a fun little stinker. *The top photo is with her cute friend Kendall from Logan.

Sleeping Kids!

This is what happens when dad is gone and mom falls asleep by Daisy getting her to bed. Sleepy Jack and Ellie. Funny kids.

Ellie Turns 11! What?

Okay. This post makes me feel like a bad mom. Ellie's birthday was on a Friday. The Friday of the Spotlight dance competition. We woke up and had things decorated. Hurried and opened some gifts and then got ready to head out for competition. The pictures are a little out of order. All well. * The bottom one is on her birthday morning. Opening gifts that Jack decided were his. He even put on his rain boots when she opened hers. Everything that happened in between was chaos. Packing, makeup, hair, driving, and dancing until 11:00 P.M. * The middle picture is at the end of the night. Ellie Rose, Daisy Sophia, and Ellie's friend Hannah that stayed with us at the hotel. Tired dance girls. Having a friend made it seem a little more birthday-ish. * The first picture is on Easter Sunday when we finally slowed down enough to have cake with candles on it! It turned into dessert and worked out great. Too bad that Daddy was off at the MASTERS in Georgia. We missed him and he came home the next day. Happy 11th Ellie Rose! We love you!

P.S. Thank you to Grandmas & Grandpas and Uncle Eli & Aunt Christy that hung out at the competition to support Ellie on her birthday. It really meant so much. Too bad we didn't get a little break to go out to dinner together! Love you all!

Jack In His Snow Clothes!

This is what my little Jack had to wear out in the snow on Saturday. What the picture doesn't show are the flowers all over the top of the hat! Ooops. It is Daisy's hat, but its blue and he thinks he looks like a cowboy. It is the only hat he would wear. He also thinks his yellow T-Shirt hoodie is a coat! Although I tried talking him out of the entire outfit, I also know that these are the moments that I will always love and cherish. I am still wondering if I will cherish him smashing Box Elder bugs on my walls with his golf putter. Maybe someday!
