4th of July 2008

Okay...more old pics for my journaling purposes.:) The 4th of July means a campout in Grandma Larkin's yard.......barbeque, crafts, movies outside, lots of yummy snacks, puzzles, fireworks, rub-on tatoos, Brandi sleeping in, the girls creating a play house, kickball (pretty intense). Way too much fun!!!! Thanks Mom!

The Things My Kids Say!

*One day driving down the freeway.... I turned the radio station to X 96. Playing on the Radio station was a Red Hot Chilli Pepper song - 'Kalif....' - Ellie was riding along and turned to me and asked me if it was Billy Ray Cyrus singing.

*I have decided that listening to 'Beetles' songs with Daisy is not a good idea. I have had an obsession with the 'Across the Universe' soundtrack. I LOVE the boy's voice. Any who - Daisy would like to know if the man singing (BONO) really is a Walrus, or if he just thinks that it is funny to sing about being a Walrus. Also, is Coo Coo Ca Choo a word or a funny sound? If it is a funny sound, what makes that sound? If it is a word, what does it mean?

*Jack is continually saying "Mom, what you fink you are doing?"

.......JACK, I REALLY DON'T KNOW! :)

When My Captain Jack Turned 2!

May 31, 2008 ! I absolutely love this little guy.
Life is an absolute amazing experience everyday with him!

Ellie's Essay Day!

Ellie Rose won a 4th grade state essay contest last spring. Her essay was on 'Why I like my Community'. It was such a fun thing. She won a little money for herself and $1,000 for her school. She was invited to read her essay for the Utah League of Cities and Towns on September 12. They provided a hotel and some cash for the stay also. These are the pics of her speaking and the room before it was full of people! Seriously. No way I could have done this at 10 years old. She wasn't even nervous. She ate it up. We really had so much fun. It was a great opportunity for our family! Good Job El!

JON'S MISSION REUNION!
We went to Jon's mission reunion in Salt Lake on Friday night. It was so much fun. His Mission President - President Fukuda and his wife flew in from Japan. Thier missionary sons came in from all over. It was fun for me to put faces with all of the stories and to see the love they all still had for each other and their President. The spirit was so strong as their President and his sweet wife spoke. I couldn't understand a word, but it was truly amazing. A wonderful night!

ELLIE ROSE - 10!!!!!

SO - I have a ten year old? What? She is a whole human and not just my little pal any more. March 27, 2008 brought my Rose Bud's 10th birthday. She spent her birthday at a dance competition. She wouldn't have wanted to be any where else. Dancing & Friends. Need I say more? Yeah for all of the family that came to support her and then feasted at the restraunt of her choice - Pei Wei and then Cold Stone. Not too bad of a choice for a 10 year old if I do say so myself!
LOVE MY ELLIE ROSE - still loves pink, loves to chew gum & loves being a girl!
